I discover at least one new thing every month. I have Ipsy, scent bird, and just whatever skincare or makeup product I decide to try. I do reviews on my own on those platforms, but I would like to let you guys know what I find that I think is worth trying.  For Skincare this month I tried the Clay Mask by NENA, the Water Sleeping Mask by Laneige, and the Tatcha oily skin starter kit. The NENA clay mask was really interesting. It had a really thin consistency, but it wasn't too watery. Because it is thin, it dried easier and quicker, and more spread evenly. When I used it my face didn't feel super dry and it did make my pores feel tighter. The water sleeping mask from laneige is the first overnight mask I have ever tried, and I want to try more. The texture was like a creamy gel that just sits on top of the skin like a thick moisturizer. The smell reminds me of hair gel because it smells like a certain "fresh" scent. My skin wasn't particularly moisturized the fir...

Improving your mornings

Image
Starting your day off on the right foot is one of the best forms of self-care. It can greatly increase your productivity and reduce stress. I will give you some tips on how to have a good morning and have more productive (and hopefully happier) days. 1. The night before For workdays, I would say to clean up the surfaces that you're going to use in the morning and to set out your clothes. Clearing off your surfaces helps you to get right to morning skincare without having to move things out of your way. This should remove stress and give you less to worry about in the morning. And for setting out your clothes, this gives you less to worry about you can just get dressed and not have to worry about if what you need is in the wash or not. You can also prepare clothes for just getting ready in the morning such as a robe. This can help you be comfy while you get ready and keep you from wetting your clothes while washing you face. You can also benefit from making sure you have everything...

My Makeup Staples (Oily Skin)

Image
I've been wearing makeup for about 10 years. I have oily/combination skin so my goal is usually to balance the oil and make my skin look smooth and healthy without drying it out or clogging my pores. Foundations & Powders The foundation that I like to used for my quick easy makeup routine is Fit Me Shine free & Balance stick foundation. I like this because its quick to apply and i prefer to blend it either with a brush or my fingers because the texture isn't something that is easily spread by a sponge (damp or dry).  The foundation I use when I'm doing a full coverage look is the Fit Me Matte & Poreless from Maybelline. It blends easily, is buildable and you can easily layer product on top of and underneath of it. The shade range is also really good. When I want to do a super natural makeup look, I've started to opt for powder foundation since the shade range for most affordable bb and cc creams usually don't have a good color for me.  My curre...

Favorite Baby Essentials

Image
2 months ago, I have birth to my second baby and have had start all over with the baby stuff because I moved. I found a lot of things that I didn't know about or didn't use before and I think they're all really good. Diapers are the first thing. I found these special delivery diapers and were skeptical about the name. I thought it meant there was a difference in sizing but it really just means that they are made from plant based materials. I like these because they are super soft but if your baby tends to have more liquid poops (like breastfed babies) you will have to change them right away or I recommend you get the Huggies Little Snugglers. Next thing is wipes. I like to alternate between Huggies natural care wipes and the Huggies cocoa and shea butter wipes. I  mainly use the natural ones because they are less likely to cause any type of allergic reaction but I do sometimes use the shea butter ones just for some extra love ❤️.  For bathing, I like b...

My Post-partum Favorites

Image
I gave birth to my second baby girl. Since then I have been able to get a feel for what I need and what makes being a new mom again easier. Usually, I prioritize practicality over aesthetic-ness but surprisingly I found items that fulfill both of those needs. The first few items are for breast feeding and the other ones are for convenience. First item is reusable nursing pads . I love that I don't have to keep buying packs of disposable ones and having to switch to a new pair of pads throughout the day. They are super absorbent and actually very cute. They come with a washing bag that you just throw them in and put them in the washing machine.  The next items are nursing bras and nursing tops. The bras make it so much easier to nurse and pump without having to manipulate your clothes a lot. I really like to use the nursing tops on the weekends so that can easily feed my baby but still feel like I'm wearing a shirt. The tops also give good support while also being nice and...

Hygiene Shopping Aug 31

Image
So, I went to the non descript mart of wals and picked up some stuff. This is a really short haul in the hygiene department but,  I hope you enjoy looking at some cool products I got.  First, we got these 2 bottles of "bubble bath" (I don't know what you're supposed to call it). I've never tried the coconut oil one but I am an avid user of coconut oil and products containing it. To be honest, my husband grabbed this and I didn't know lol. The "Soothe & Sleep" one is what we like to use for our daughter to help her chill out before bed. It smells nice and calming. This brand's formula for bubble bath makes it so you don't have to use a lotto make a nice amount of bubbles and make the whole bathroom smell amazing.  Next, we got some Mouthwash. We really needed the kids mouthwash for our daughter because she was out and she doesn't like using the one for adults. With the crest mouthwash, I personally haven't t...

How I Take Care of My Skin/ Prevent Stretch Marks

Image
Taking care of my skin and preventing stretch marks.  I'm currently 6 months pregnant so I'm trying my best to keep stretch marks at bay and keep myself mentally and physically healthy. So, keeping a steady shower routine has helped me by giving me some stress release as well as the stability of having a routine.  First things first, washing.  Usually, if use the Rose Dove bar soap 🧼 but this works too. I use bar soap instead of body wash because it's just been too hot and sweaty lately. I feel like this really strips the sweat, dirt, and oil the best. I use bodywash more so in the colder parts of the year because its more gentle and to help hydrate. Next, I use this Dove exfoliating scrub to help smooth out the skin. It's more of a gentle exfoliate so I can use it everyday or every other day. The texture is also nice and creamy so my skin doesn't dry out. Once a week I will exfoliate with the exfoliating gloves as well as this scrub just as a weekly de...
